BIOGRAPHY
His Divine Grace Hari Krishnanand Saraswati Swamiji was born on June 6th, 1976 in his ancestral village in the Northern part of India, the birthplace of Lord Krishna. Sri Swamiji was raised in a traditional Brahmin family and from an early age, as most Brahmin boys, was taught the Vedas and Hindu rituals. Sri Swamiji's childhood was filled with grace and surrounded by divine personalities. At the age of seventeen, Sri Swamiji left home and embarked on a spiritual pilgrimage, which lasted for many years. During these years Sri Swamiji lived in the Himalayas, traveled throughout India and studied with numerous world-renowned spiritual masters.
During 2002, while absorbed in spiritual Sadhana at the Ramana Maharshi Ashram in India, Sri Swamiji achieved Enlightenment. After achieving enlightenment, Sri Swamiji proclaimed that he "is no longer in search of anything."
While participating in the 2001 Kumbha Mela in Allahabad, a series of synchronistic events occurred which lead up to Sri Swamiji's eminence in the film 'Shortcut To Nirvana' that has been viewed around the globe. On February 13th, 2003, upon invitation by an American family living in Florida, Sri Swamiji arrived in the United States and resided as a resident Swami. It was during this time that he established Sri Saraswati Nilayam International Vedic Trust Inc., which has a 501(3) status as a non profit organization.
